How Tantra & Yoga Work Together - Live Webinar

Yoga and Tantra share a single root. Centuries ago, they were one continuous practice, and somewhere along the way, they branched into two paths that most people now think of as entirely separate.

If you practice yoga, meditate, or work with Tantra in any form, you have likely felt the postures, the breath, and the stillness pointing toward something more, a dimension the physical practice alone never fully reaches. That sense is not imagined. It is what got left behind when these two paths split apart.

This live session brings them back together. Dieke and Marija Marali, two faculty members of our upcoming Tantra & Yoga Teacher Training, walk you through exactly how life-force energy, emotional fluidity, and the chakra system live inside the practice you already know, whether you are a yogi, a yoga teacher, or someone already walking the path of Tantra.

Why Tantra & Yoga Were Never Two Traditions

Modern postural yoga descends directly from Hatha Yoga, a system developed within the Tantric tradition of medieval India. Scholars researching this history widely agree that Hatha Yoga's roots trace back to Tantric masters such as Matsyendranath, one of its founding figures. Even the word "hatha" carries this union in its own name: ha (sun) and tha (moon), two energies meeting as one.

Tantra treated the body as a direct doorway into awakening, working consciously with life-force energy, emotion, and consciousness. As yoga traveled West over the last century, it arrived largely through a narrowed, postural lens: flexibility, alignment, physical wellness. Valuable work, but only a fragment of what yoga was designed to offer. In this live class, Dieke and Marija Marali share the missing dimensions, and one practice you can bring into your own teaching immediately.

In this live call, you'll learn…

  • The actual mechanism of suppression
Osho's teaches that suppression postpones expression, it never eliminates it. What goes unfelt today is stored, and surfaces later in a different context. Ma Ananda Sarita explains why this happens and how to recognize the pattern in your own life.
  • Why suppression carries a measurable cost
Research on emotional suppression links it to weaker immune response and, in long-term studies, higher rates of cardiovascular and stress-related illness. Ma Ananda Sarita connects this research to what she has observed directly across five decades of teaching.
  • Becoming the Emotions
The foundational technique for letting a stored emotion complete its cycle, rather than continuing to manage or suppress it.
  • The Projection Exercise
A technique for working directly with what triggers you most in others, and what that reaction reveals about your own unresolved emotional material.
  • Why witnessing is a separate skill from completing
Meditation trains you to observe emotion from a distance. That is a real and valuable skill, and it is a separate skill from letting the emotion move and finish. Ma Ananda Sarita explains why practicing only the first can leave old patterns fully intact, and what closes that gap.

This is for you if you…

  • You have meditated or done inner work for years, and the same anxiety, grief or anger keeps returning, as if the practice never actually reached it.
  • You have reacted strongly to something small, and later understood the the real cause was something older, unrelated to what triggered you.
  • You associate composure and self-control with maturity, and want to examine if that belief is actually serving you.
  • You work with people as a coach, therapist, facilitator or healer and want to be able to hold space for strong emotion without freezing, fixing, or pulling back.
  • You are in relationship and suspect that unprocessed emotion, yours or theirs, is quietly limiting the depth between you.
  • You are a woman who knows that something in her emotional world holds the key to her full opening, sexually, creatively, spiritually, and wants to understand how to access it.
